Jed Feuer, trumpet, flügelhorn

Jed was born in Los Angeles, but moved to New York City at the age of six weeks where he grew up. From the age of four, he studied music privately. His trumpet teachers were Joe Wilder, Albert Ligotti, Sidney de Paris and Carmine Caruso. His piano teachers were Joseph Kahn and Eugene Istomin.  At the age of twenty, his attention turned to composition which took over for many years. He is currently writing an opera based on “Slaughterhouse-Five”.

In 2005, he founded BIPOLAR. With very special players and a specific point of view, he and pianist Craig Swanson write & arrange originals as well as new takes on many masterworks from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The quintet's debut CD, “Euphrates, Me Jane”, as well as its live performances, are receiving
unanimous raves.
